KhetKart Vendor Privacy Policy

KhetKart (referred to as "the Platform," "We," "Us," or "Our") operates an e-commerce marketplace specializing in agricultural spare parts. This Privacy Policy is a legally binding document that explains how we collect, process, and safeguard the data of our registered sellers ("Vendors"). By registering on KhetKart, you consent to the practices described herein.

2. Information We Collect

To maintain the integrity of our e-commerce ecosystem, we collect:

1. Business Credentials: Business Name, Trade License, GSTIN, PAN, and MSME certification (if applicable).
2. Verification Data: Identity proof of the authorized signatory (Aadhaar/Voter ID) to prevent fraudulent listings.
3. Operational Details: Warehouse locations, pickup addresses, and contact details for logistics coordination.
4. Financial Information: Verified Bank Account details and cancelled cheques for automated payment settlements and tax compliance.
5. Digital Footprint: IP addresses, device information, and login logs to ensure the security of the Vendor Dashboard.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

We use Vendor information to:

1. Facilitate E-commerce Transactions: Manage the end-to-end flow of orders, from listing to delivery and potential returns/replacements.
2. Analytics & Optimization: Analyze sales trends and inventory data to provide vendors with insights on high-demand spare parts.
3. Marketing & Visibility: Featured listings and promotional banners on the platform may use your brand name and product images.
4. Fraud Prevention: Monitor account activity to protect the platform from unauthorized access or malicious transactions.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only under the following circumstances:

1. Logistics & Fulfillment: Sharing pickup details with 3rd-party courier partners for order collection.
2. Payment Gateways: Sharing transaction details with RBI-authorized payment aggregators to process payouts.
3. Customer Interaction: Displaying your business name and ratings on the platform to build buyer trust.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Disclosing data to tax authorities or law enforcement agencies as required by the Information Technology Act and GST laws.

5. Intellectual Property & Product Data

By uploading product descriptions, technical specifications, and images of spare parts, the Vendor grants KhetKart a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, and display this content for marketing and sales purposes across our digital channels.

6. Data Security Measures

KhetKart employs industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data transmission. All sensitive financial information is stored in secure, firewalled servers. We restrict access to your personal data to authorized employees and contractors who need it to perform their duties.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Vendor Dashboard uses cookies to enhance user experience, remember login preferences, and analyze traffic patterns. Vendors can manage cookie settings through their browser, though some features of the dashboard may become limited.

8. Vendor Obligations Regarding Buyer Privacy

Vendors will receive Customer Personal Information (Name, Address, Phone Number) solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders. Vendors are strictly prohibited from:

1. Storing buyer data beyond the fulfillment period.
2. Sharing buyer data with any third party.
3. Using buyer data for independent marketing or solicitation.

9. Your Rights

Vendors have the right to:

1. Review and update their business information via the Vendor Dashboard.
2. Request the deletion of their account (subject to the completion of pending orders and tax cooling-off periods).
3. Opt-out of non-essential promotional communications.
